2010-2016 Porsche Panamera Fuse Box Diagram

In this article, we explore the fuse box diagrams for the first-generation Porsche Panamera (970 / G1) made between 2010 and 2016. You’ll find diagrams showing where the fuse panels are located in the car, along with details about what each fuse is for.

Cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses in the Porsche Panamera are the fuses #38 (Front cigarette lighter, luggage compartment socket), #40 (RHD: Sockets in center console, glove box) in the Left Instrument panel fuse box, and fuses #27 (Center console socket front, cigarette lighter rear), #29 (LHD: Socket in center console rear, socket in glove box, socket in large center console rear), #30 (2014-2016: 110V socket in rear center console) in the Right Instrument panel fuse box.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where are the fuse boxes located in my Panamera (970)?

There are three main areas where fuses are located:
Driver’s Side Dashboard: Open the driver’s door and pry off the plastic panel on the side of the dashboard (facing the door jamb).
Passenger’s Side Dashboard: Similar to the driver’s side, located on the end of the dashboard on the passenger side.
Luggage Compartment (Trunk): Located on the right side of the trunk, behind the trim panel. You may need to remove the storage net or side cover to access it. Note: There is also a fuse/relay carrier in the engine compartment (plenum area), but this contains major system fuses (like the secondary air pump) and is difficult to access.

I can’t find the fuse diagram in my manual. How do I know which fuse is which?

Porsche does not print the specific fuse chart in the main owner’s manual for this generation.
The Solution: Look for a folded paper fuse map tucked into a slot on the inside of the dashboard fuse box covers (either left or right side).
Tip: If you bought the car used and the paper is missing, you will need to search for a specific “Panamera 970 fuse diagram PDF” online or consult a dealer, as the fuse layout changes slightly between model years (e.g., 2010 vs 2014).

Which fuse controls the cigarette lighter / 12V sockets?

There are multiple sockets (front console, center console, rear, trunk), and they are often split between the driver and passenger side fuse boxes.
Location: Check both the Driver’s Side and Passenger’s Side dashboard fuse boxes.
Fuse: Look for 20A (Yellow) fuses.
Common positions: Often found in positions 20, 21, or 22 in the dashboard boxes.
Note: If the socket works but the lighter element doesn’t heat up, the element itself might be bad.

My air suspension compressor is not running. Is there a fuse for it?

Yes, but if the fuse blows, it often indicates a failing compressor or relay.
Fuse Location: Typically a large 40A (Orange) Maxi-fuse located in the Driver’s Side Dashboard fuse box (top rows) or the Engine Compartment.
The Relay: The compressor relay is a common failure point. If the compressor sticks on (draining the battery) or won’t turn on, replacing the relay (often located in the carrier above the pedals or in the trunk) is a standard fix.

My PCM (Navigation/Radio) is rebooting or stuck. Which fuse resets it?

Pulling the fuse is one way to reset the system, but a “Handover Reset” is easier and requires no tools.
Handover Reset: Press and hold the PCM Info and Sound buttons (or just the volume knob on newer firmware) simultaneously for about 10–15 seconds until the unit reboots.
Fuse Pull: If you must pull power, check the Passenger Side Dashboard fuse box for a fuse labeled “PCM” or “Radio” (usually 10A or 25A).

My windshield washers are not working, but the wipers are. Is it a fuse?

It is possible (check the Driver’s Side fuse box), but on the Panamera 970, this is frequently caused by a failed washer pump.
Diagnosis: Listen for the pump humming when you pull the stalk. If it’s silent, the pump is likely dead (common issue). If it hums but no water comes out, the lines are likely clogged or disconnected under the hood insulation.
